I just put together what i hope is a really good reference for anyone wanting to change the look and feel of the V4 virtual earth dashboard.
Read the article.

Re: New VE Article - Dashboard Styles
Just stumbled across your site and can tell already that I am going to be a regular visitor!
A couple of quick questions about your dashboard styles article. 1) Does this work with the new v5 (i have a suspicion that it will as the style of the dashboard hasnt greatly changed from v4) 2) As a developer who doesnt have much to do with the design side of things, I was hoping you could give a an example or 2 of how I would change part of the dashboard (the zoom-slider) and also how I would hide part of it (liek the hydrid/aerial and road style boxes) Many thanks

Re: New VE Article - Dashboard Styles
Russ, no in fact it was built using a version 4 control with the enhanced birdseye of V5, so in fact its a great concept but not much use for a stock V4 or V5, if you read my blog post on the performance of V5 they have changed this significantly. I will try my best to get this updated but there are just so many things and no where near enough time. Best advice is to install firebug for firefox, it allows you to "inspect" dom elelments and find all related css information. Well worth a looking at. John.

Re: New VE Article - Dashboard Styles
I just want to change the color of the existing 6.1 dashboard. I assume that would be simple enough, but how do I do that without recreating an entirely new custom navigation?
